Adam Nidzgorski

Adam Nidzgorski was born in 1933 in Carmeilles, France from a Polish family. He obtained his secondary school qualification in Paris French-Polish school in 1951 and studied in Warsaw until 1957. He traveled France for some time before being employed in Tunis Ecole Normale of physical education. Inspired as he was by north African light he begun painting as a self-taught artist in 1963 and in 1967 he enjoyed his first personal exhibition. After ten years spent Tunis he returned to France where he became a physical education teacher. His favorite artistic means are colored crayons, watercolors, Indian ink on Japanese paper but he also enjoys engraving. In the nineties has been realizing rugs and panoplies on luta canvas. He now lives and works in Marseille. His work can be found at LaM musée d’art moderne, d’art contemporain et d’art brut in Lille, at the Musée Dr. Guislan, at the Musée de la Création Franche.
